What you get with a free Kambloo store
Lesson 1 of 20 6 min
Lesson 1 of 20
Before you add a single product, it helps to know what you are working with. This lesson explains the Kambloo model in plain terms, so nothing surprises you later.
The software is free
Kambloo does not sell feature packages. Every store runs the same software with the same features. There is no "upgrade to unlock" step for product limits, staff accounts, reports or API access.
You pay for two things only, and both come later:
- Hosting resources after your store is live. Plans differ by traffic, storage and media bandwidth. They do not differ by features, and support is the same for every customer.
- Market modules and themes you choose to buy. Official payment, shipping, marketplace and invoicing connectors are free.
Your test store
When you sign up, Kambloo creates a test store for you at an address like yourstore.kambloo.com. It asks for no credit card. Provisioning is designed to finish in under a minute.
The test store has no time limit. You can build the catalog, set the theme, place sandbox orders and invite staff for as long as you need. Payments on the test store run in sandbox mode, so no real money moves.
Two things are worth knowing:
- Search engines do not index the test address. The platform enforces this, and it protects you from duplicate content once your real domain is live.
- A test store that shows no activity for 90 days receives email warnings, is then suspended, and is archived 30 days later. Log in now and then and this never happens.
What changes when you go live
"Go live" means connecting your own domain. The wizard in your store admin walks you through it: you enter the domain, add two DNS records at your registrar, and Kambloo verifies them and installs the SSL certificate. No technical background is needed. Module 4 covers each step.
Going live does not ask for a credit card either. The first month on your own domain is free for every store. At the end of that month you see your real usage and pick the hosting plan that fits. If you do not pick one, restrictions arrive gradually, with notifications first. Your store does not vanish overnight.
Your data stays yours
Each store has its own separate database. Your customers, orders and products are not stored in the same tables as another store's data. Backups are taken per store and restored per store. This matters for KVKK compliance and for peace of mind.
What you will build in this course
The six modules follow the order a real launch follows:
- Set up your store: account, store name, onboarding, payments, shipping and legal basics.
- Add your products: catalog structure, your first product, variants and stock, product content.
- Set your theme and brand: theme choice, logo and colors, homepage sections.
- Go live: the launch checklist, connecting your domain, fixing DNS and SSL issues.
- Your first marketing campaign: abandoned cart recovery, coupons, permission and honest selling.
- SEO and GEO basics: what is automatic, what you write, how AI answer engines read your store, and selling in more than one language.
Each lesson ends with a short task. Do the task before moving on. A finished test store is the best preparation for going live.
Common mistakes
- Waiting for the "perfect" plan before signing up. The test store is free and has no deadline, so start now and improve as you go.
- Expecting a trial that expires. There is no trial clock. The clock only starts at go-live, and even then the first month is free.
- Buying a domain before settling on the store name. Pick the name first, then buy the matching domain.
- Ignoring the test store for months. Inactive test stores are suspended after 90 days without activity.
Apply this in your store: sign up, open your admin, and keep the address handy. Everything else in this course happens there.
