SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

Definition

SEO is the work of making a website easy for search engines to crawl, understand, and rank, so it earns visits without paying for ads. For an online store it covers technical basics (clean URLs, sitemaps, speed, structured data), content (product and category text), and authority (links from other sites). Over time, organic search is usually a store's cheapest sales channel.

Why it matters for your store

Paid traffic stops when the budget stops. Organic traffic keeps arriving for pages that rank, and it arrives from people who typed what you sell. For most stores it becomes the largest channel within a year or two, at a cost per order far below ads.

Technical SEO is where platforms differ most. If product pages need JavaScript to show content, if every filter creates a duplicate URL, if the sitemap is stale, or if images make pages slow, no amount of content work compensates. Those problems should be solved once, in the platform, not per store.

Content is where merchants differ. Original product descriptions, useful category text, and answers to real customer questions are what search engines reward and what the platform cannot write for you.

How Kambloo handles it

Kambloo's rule is SEO by default: a store owner should not have to do anything for the technical layer to be right. Every storefront page is server-rendered, so the full HTML is there without JavaScript. When you create a product, category, or page, its meta tags, canonical URL, structured data, and sitemap entry are generated at that moment. Changing a slug creates a 301 redirect automatically.

Each store gets its own robots.txt, sitemap index, hreflang set for its active languages, and a single structured data graph per page. The storefront runs inside a performance budget that is enforced in the build pipeline.

Test stores on their kambloo.com address are always noindex; only verified custom domains are indexed. In the admin panel, an SEO health score lists missing metadata, structured data errors, and slow pages, and every page's title, description, and canonical can be overridden by hand.

Questions about SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

What SEO work should the platform do for me?

The technical layer: server-rendered pages, canonical tags, sitemaps, robots rules, structured data, redirects when URLs change, and fast pages. What remains for the merchant is content: product descriptions, category text, and earning links.

Why is my test store not showing up in Google?

Test stores on their kambloo.com address are always marked noindex and blocked in robots.txt. Only a verified custom domain is indexed, which prevents the test address from competing with the live one.
