Rich Results

Definition

Rich results are search listings that show extra information taken from a page's structured data: price and stock on a product, star ratings, FAQ dropdowns, breadcrumbs, or an image. They take more space than a plain link and earn more clicks. Google decides when to show them, but it can only do so when the page provides valid structured data.

Why it matters for your store

Two listings for the same search: one is a title and two lines of text; the other shows a price, "in stock," four and a half stars, and a breadcrumb trail. The second gets the click. Rich results are the visible reward for structured data, and they are one of the few ways a small store can stand out on a page dominated by marketplaces.

They also depend on rules. Ratings must reflect real reviews shown on the page. Price and availability must match what the visitor sees. Violations lead to a manual action that removes rich results for the whole site, so the data must be generated from the same source as the page, not maintained separately.

How Kambloo handles it

Kambloo generates the structured data that rich results depend on for every page, from the same records that render the page. Product pages carry Product, Offer, and AggregateRating, with price, currency, and availability from the variant record and ratings from the built-in review module, so schema and page cannot disagree. Every page carries BreadcrumbList and Organization; FAQ blocks on products and pages output FAQPage; blog posts output Article.

The output is validated in the platform's test suite, and the SEO health report flags conditions that would disqualify a page, such as a rating without reviews or a missing GTIN or brand. Product images are served in modern formats at fixed sizes, which also satisfies the image requirements for product rich results.

Questions about Rich Results

Why does my product not show price and rating in Google?

Either the structured data is missing or invalid, or the page does not yet qualify. Check that the Product schema includes offers with price and availability, and that any rating in the schema has visible reviews on the page.

Can FAQ rich results appear for a product page?

Yes, when the page has a visible question-and-answer block and matching FAQPage structured data. Google has reduced how often it shows FAQ results, but the markup still helps AI engines read the answers.
