Omnichannel
Definition
Omnichannel retail means selling through several channels, such as a web store, marketplaces, social media, and physical shops, while running them on one stock pool, one order list, and one customer record. The customer sees one brand; the merchant runs one operation. It differs from multichannel, where each channel is managed separately.
Why it matters for your store
Customers do not think in channels. They see a product on Instagram, check the price on Trendyol, and buy on your site, or the other way round. If each channel has its own stock count and its own order list, the store spends its day reconciling spreadsheets and still oversells.
Omnichannel is mostly a data problem. One product record that feeds every channel. One stock figure that every channel subtracts from. One order list, whatever the source. When those three are in place, adding a channel is configuration rather than a new operation.
How Kambloo handles it
Kambloo keeps one product record, one stock pool, and one order list across channels. Marketplace orders from Trendyol, Hepsiburada, N11, Amazon TR, Çiçeksepeti, and Etsy arrive in the same order screen as storefront orders, tagged by channel, and go through the same shipping and invoicing flow. Stock changes are pushed to every connected marketplace immediately, with a per-channel buffer against timing gaps.
Social channels are fed from the same record: the Google Merchant feed for Shopping, the Meta catalog feed for Instagram and Facebook shops, and a WhatsApp click-to-chat button on the storefront. Campaigns can be limited to a channel, and reports break sales down by channel.
Questions about Omnichannel
What is the difference between omnichannel and multichannel?
Multichannel means being present on several channels, each run on its own. Omnichannel means those channels share stock, orders, and customer data, so a sale anywhere updates everywhere and a customer is recognised across channels.
Can a small store be omnichannel?
Yes, if the platform does the joining. A web store plus two marketplaces plus an Instagram shop, all fed from one product record and one stock pool, is omnichannel in practice.
