Activation Code
Definition
An activation code is a one-time key that unlocks a purchased app, module, or theme inside a software account. Buying and activating are separate steps: the buyer pays, receives a code, and enters it where the software runs. Because the code is not tied to the account that bought it, it can be given as a gift or sold on by a reseller.
Why it matters for your store
Separating purchase from activation keeps the two clean. Payment happens in one place, with a proper invoice, and does not need to touch the store's admin panel. Activation happens in the store, by whoever runs it, whenever they are ready. An agency can buy modules for a client, a reseller can stock codes, and a code can be a gift.
The model needs safeguards: a code must work exactly once, must be revoked if the purchase is refunded, and must not be guessable or stored in a form that could leak.
How Kambloo handles it
App Market purchases are paid on kambloo.com, never inside the store panel. From the panel, the Buy button sends you to the market page with a signed link that matches your account and pre-selects the module; you can also buy directly on the site. After payment, a code in the format KMB-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX is shown on screen and emailed to you.
Back in the panel, you enter the code under Market and activate. The module is installed and enabled automatically, including any database changes it needs. If you bought from your own panel, the return link pre-fills the code so activation is one click. All your codes, with their status and which store redeemed them, are listed under your account on kambloo.com.
A code can be redeemed once, by any store. Unused codes expire after twelve months with a reminder before then. A refund revokes an unredeemed code immediately. Codes are stored only as hashes. Modules included in the free package need no code and are enabled with one click.

Where do I buy and activate App Market modules?
You buy on kambloo.com, either directly or by following the Buy button in your store panel. After payment you receive an activation code on screen and by email, and you enter it in your panel under Market to activate the module.
Can I use an activation code on a different store than the one I bought it for?
Yes. A code is not bound to the purchasing account and can be redeemed by any store, once. That is how gifts and reseller sales work. Whoever redeems it becomes the license holder.
