Cargo Tracking

Definition

Cargo tracking is the tracking number and status feed a carrier provides for each shipment, from label creation to delivery. Stores use it to show customers where their parcel is, to send status notifications by email or SMS, and to know when an order is complete. Carriers in Turkey such as Yurtiçi, Aras, MNG, and PTT expose this data through their APIs.

Why it matters for your store

"Where is my order?" is the most common support question in e-commerce. A tracking number sent at shipment time, plus a page that shows live status, answers it before it is asked. That saves support hours and makes the store feel dependable.

Tracking also has operational value. The delivered event tells you when the return period starts, when a cash on delivery collection should appear in the carrier's report, and when a chargeback claim of non-delivery can be answered with proof. Without a reliable feed, all three become manual work.

How Kambloo handles it

When you confirm an order, Kambloo creates the shipment at the carrier and receives the label PDF, the barcode, and the tracking number in one call. The tracking number goes to the customer immediately through the store's notification templates. Labels can be printed one at a time or as a single PDF for the whole day.

Status updates arrive by webhook where the carrier supports it (MNG, HepsiJet, Trendyol Express, Kolay Gelsin) and by polling every 30 minutes where it does not (Yurtiçi, Aras, Sürat, PTT). Each change updates the order and can trigger a customer notification. The delivered event closes the order, starts the return window, and for cash on delivery orders opens the collection confirmation step.

For marketplace orders, the tracking number is written back to the marketplace so the customer sees it there too. All carriers connect through one shipping interface, so switching carriers changes the account details, not the workflow.

Questions about Cargo Tracking

Do customers get the tracking number automatically?

Yes. When a shipment is created, the tracking number is sent to the customer by email or SMS, and the order status page shows the carrier's updates as they arrive.

What does the delivered status trigger?

The order is closed, the return window starts counting, and for cash on delivery orders the collection confirmation step begins. The delivery record is also kept as evidence for disputes.
