TikTok Pixel ve Events API

What it does

  • Loads the TikTok Pixel on your storefront and reports product views, cart additions, checkout starts, and purchases.
  • Sends the same events from Kambloo's servers through the Events API, with matching event IDs for deduplication.
  • Gives TikTok campaigns the conversion data they need to optimize.

TikTok measurement is part of Kambloo's launch catalog. Like GA4 and Meta Pixel, the TikTok integration has two halves: the Pixel in the browser and the Events API on the server. The module is an Internal Module. TikTok bills your ad spend; Kambloo adds no fee.

How it works with Kambloo

The Pixel is injected through the storefront theme's script slot once you enter its ID. Kambloo fires TikTok's standard e-commerce events: product view, add to cart, checkout start, and purchase with value, currency, and item list. Product identifiers match your catalog so campaigns can be optimized per product.

The Events API runs in parallel. For each event the browser fires, Kambloo generates an event ID and sends the same event from its queue to TikTok's server endpoint with that ID. TikTok deduplicates on the ID and counts the event once. If the browser event never arrives, the server event still does. The purchase event is the most important one, and it is sent after the order is marked paid, so it reflects confirmed revenue rather than an attempted checkout.

The same pattern applies across Kambloo's ad integrations: GA4's Measurement Protocol and Meta's Conversions API are built on the same event IDs and the same queue, so adding TikTok does not add a separate tracking layer to your theme.

All tags load deferred or through a worker proxy and stay within the theme's JavaScript budget. The storefront is server-rendered and does not depend on them.

Requirements

  • A TikTok for Business account with a Pixel.
  • An Events API access token for server events.
  • A published storefront with a live checkout for testing.

Setup steps

The short version. The screens in your store admin follow the same order.

  1. Create a Pixel in TikTok Events Manager and copy its ID.
  2. Generate an Events API access token.
  3. Enter both under Settings > Marketing > TikTok.
  4. Place a test order and confirm the purchase event in Events Manager.

Questions about TikTok Pixel ve Events API

Why send events from both the browser and the server?

Browser events can be lost to blockers or closed tabs. Server events are reliable but lack some browser context. Sending both, with matching event IDs so TikTok counts each once, gives the most complete picture.

Which events are sent?

Product view, add to cart, checkout start, and purchase. The purchase event is sent after the order is marked paid, so it reflects confirmed revenue rather than an attempted checkout.

Do the TikTok scripts affect page speed?

They are loaded deferred or through a worker proxy like every other tag on the storefront, so rendering does not wait for them.
