Platform integration

Sosyal Giriş (Google / Apple)

What it does

  • Lets storefront customers sign in or register with a Google or Apple account.
  • Links the social identity to an existing customer account by verified email, or creates a new one.
  • Uses your own OAuth client on a custom domain so the redirect matches your brand and Apple's rules.

Social login is part of Kambloo's launch catalog. It gives customers a one-tap way to create an account or sign in with Google or Apple on the storefront. The module is built on Laravel Socialite and is an Internal Module. Kambloo charges nothing for it; the OAuth clients come from Google and Apple.

How it works with Kambloo

The sign-in flow is standard OAuth. The customer clicks a provider button, is sent to Google or Apple, approves, and returns to your store with a signed identity. Kambloo matches the identity to a customer account. If the provider reports a verified email that already belongs to a customer, the social identity is linked to that account. Otherwise a new customer is created with the provider's name and email.

The important design point is which OAuth client is used. Kambloo offers a shared platform client that works on stores running on a Kambloo subdomain, so those stores can switch social login on without any provider setup. Providers restrict redirect URLs to registered domains, though, so a store on its own custom domain must register its own client with Google and Apple and enter the credentials in Kambloo. The module shows the exact redirect URL to paste into each provider console.

Credentials are stored encrypted in your store settings and shown masked in the admin panel. Sign-in attempts go through the same rate limits and bot protection as password login.

Social login does not change consent rules. A marketing consent checkbox still appears at registration, unchecked and separate per channel, and is reported to İYS through the consent pipeline.

Requirements

  • A Google Cloud OAuth client and an Apple Sign In service ID for custom-domain stores.
  • The Kambloo redirect URL registered with each provider.
  • A published storefront to test the full round trip.

Setup steps

The short version. The screens in your store admin follow the same order.

  1. Install the Social Login module from the Market. It is free.
  2. On a Kambloo subdomain, enable the shared platform client. On a custom domain, create OAuth clients in Google Cloud and Apple Developer.
  3. Enter the client IDs and secrets under Settings > Customers > Social Login. They are stored encrypted.
  4. Add the redirect URL shown in Kambloo to each provider's console.
  5. Test sign-in with both providers on the storefront.

Questions about Sosyal Giriş (Google / Apple)

Why do I need my own OAuth client on a custom domain?

Providers tie an OAuth client to specific redirect domains. The shared platform client only covers Kambloo subdomains, so a store on its own domain must register its own client.

What if a customer already has an account with the same email?

Kambloo links the social identity to that account when the provider confirms the email is verified. The customer keeps their order history.

Is Apple Sign In mandatory if I offer Google?

Kambloo supports both. Whether Apple's rules apply to your store depends on how customers reach it; Kambloo makes both available and you choose which to show.
